Treasure Hunt information
Important note: due to the weather conditions, the event has been postponed to 8 November 2018.
We are glad to invite you to the second edition of The Treasure Hunt, an event organized by Helping Hands for all Amadeus employees, contractors and trainees in Sophia Antipolis and Bel-Air.
The event is a 1-hour game over lunch time for teams of 3-6 people.
If you don’t have a team, you can register anyway and we will add you to an existing one (i.e. to a team which has less than 6 players).
Registration fee : 10 Euros/person. All profits will be used to fund the solidarity projects that Helping Hands supports this year.
The Treasure Hunt will take place on 8 November 2018 from 12:30 to 13:30.
The quest will start at the big olive tree, in front of the canteen. Clues will be hidden in different locations around the Amadeus Main Site.
The quest will start in the flag area. Clues will be hidden in different locations outside the Amadeus buildings and in the AAA area.
To facilitate the organisation, all teams should gather at the starting point at around 12.20… (we suggest to get your lunch before that!)
Note: all activities will be outdoors and will not require entering offices at any time.
How it works
Our friend Amadeus (Mozart) needs your help to fight the plot of his evil twin brother. You will find clues and puzzles in different locations over the Amadeus campus.
At the beginning, each team will receive a personalized map which includes the locations and the order in which they need to be explored.
To play you will need:
- At least one smartphone with Internet connection per team
- A QR code reader app
Note: completing the treasure hunt by 13.30 will get the team 2 additional points, but the game is not a race, so feel free to enjoy it at your own pace. Moreover, for safety reasons, please note that it is strictly forbidden to run within the Amadeus campus.
In each location, you can win bonus points by performing extra tasks. These are entirely optional, but they are easy and fun, so why not trying? 🙂
The winner is the team that gets the highest number of points.
- The points are calculated in the following way:
- Each puzzle is worth 1 point
- Each completed bonus activity is worth 1 point. The best extra activity (in each category) will get an extra point, awarded by the Helping Hands jury.
- Providing the final answer 3 points
- Finishing before 13.30 – 2 points
- Prizes will be awarded to the first three teams. The nature of the prizes will be communicated soon on this page.
