Achievements of La Croix Rouge – Biot (France)
🤝 Since 2022, Helping Hands has proudly supported the Biot Red Cross unit, bringing hope and help where it’s needed most:
- 🍲 Social outreach: Weekly food, clothes, and blanket collections for homeless people and women escaping violence.
- 🏃 First aid at events: From marathons to concerts, we keep people safe.
- 🚨 Emergency response: Floods, attacks, tough times – we provide technical, psychological, and first aid support.
Collaboration with La Croix Rouge
The funds were spent on practical essentials to support operations:
- Boxes for transporting food into the van.
- Additional boxes to organize the storage area.
- Key items not typically donated, such as baskets, socks, and underwear.
Thanks to Helping Hands, the Red Cross now has proper storage space and essential items like socks, shoes, and underwear. We also keep outreach equipment ready for action – lamps, boxes, and everything needed to organize our van for missions. ❤️ Red Cross stands for solidarity, humanity, voluntary service, neutrality, and impartiality. Helping Hands makes these values possible.
Our stories with the association
Helping others has always been a strong value in my family. At one point, I felt the need to turn that value into real action. In 2015, a friend encouraged me to join the Biot Red Cross, and together we took our first steps in social outreach. Having a friend by my side gave me courage, but what truly stayed with me was the sense of belonging I felt from day one.
This commitment is deeply rewarding, both socially and emotionally. It’s not always easy to face the reality of people without a home, struggling with addictions, or victims of violence. What we bring—a warm meal, clothes, and most importantly, human connection—may seem small, but it means the world to them.
Eight years later, I decided to go further by joining Helping Hands, supporting even more associations and helping them secure funding, including the Red Cross. Because solidarity doesn’t stop—it grows.
