Every year, a list of local and international projects (associations) is submitted to Helping Hands by Helping Hands’ project members who are personally engaged with the associations and participate to the awareness and fund raising events.

Here are the list of associations we worked with in 2021!

Project in Europe

4 mains pour un toit (France) 

This project has for objective to get homeless people out of the street by providing them a home. We wish to get funds to buy “tiny houses” which are ecologic, energetically performant and mobile homes. The organization is seeking the help of municipalities to get a field where to put the tiny houses and will partner with local association for the reinsertion. They are also in contact with the founder of “un toit vers l emploi” who inspired us and is partnering with us to create same project in the “Alpes Maritimes”. It is important to note this project has already been successful in Montreuil, Lille and Rouen.

Go Purple! Raid des Etoiles du Verdon for Laurette Fugain (France) https://www.laurettefugain.org

Support the Association Laurette Fugain for more than 10 years with sportive events: Running in purple for different races, mobilizing colleagues and family to run in purple for promoting blood donation, organs donation and bone marrow transplant.

Les Blouses roses (France) https://www.lesblousesroses.asso.fr

The association Les Blouses Roses regroups 5200 volunteers in France, acting as support to children and elderly people in hospitals. In children’s hospitals, their objective is to bring happiness to children from 0 to 18 years old : songs, games, activities depending on the age.

Les Quatre A – Formation de Chiens-Guides (France) https://www.chienguides.com/

Les Quatre A association deliver guide dogs to people visually impaired at no cost. The process starts with a Host family raising the puppy, then continue to an educational program so that the guide dog can be delivered to a person visually impaired. The guide dog is regularly supervised.

MJC l’ile aux tresors (Escale) (France) https://www.mjc-ileauxtresors.fr

The project goal is to finance children (kids and adolescents) leisure trips for families who are in very high financial difficulty, sometimes in social breakdown and isolation.  It’s important for these children’s emotional and integral development to be able to leave on vacation from time to time in order to escape from their reality and have moments of joy with peers. Some of these kids/adolescents have never ever been on holidays or have they stepped into a restaurant with their families in their entire life. Moreover, the organized trips aim to educate and transmit knowledge in different areas to these young people.

Nos tout petits de Nice (NTPN)  (France) https://nostoutpetitsdenice.org/

 In the PACA region, around 750 entire families per year are touched by perinatal grief forever, knowing that the majority of parents will fall pregnant later on. The NTPN Nice accompanies, informs & trains more than 150 bereaved families and 1000 health care professionals in the PACA region, by different means like: contact media: internet, phone, email, flyers, etc.

 Nos Tout Petits de Nice accompanies and informs 100+ bereaved families having lost a baby during pregnancy, at or around birth, coaches and trains 1000 health care professionals in the eastern PACA region, by different means like: Contact media (internet, phone, email, flyers, Information booklets), Events, Press articles, and trainings for health care professionals

    Projects in Africa

    Kenyan Kids (Kenya) https://www.kenyankids.org/ 

    Today our focus has moved to providing full time care and protection for thirteen girls all of whom were destined to become child prostitutes or victims of human trafficking. The aim is to ensure that there is a permanent home for the girls who will follow in their footsteps.

     Taaluma (Ghana and Togo)  https://www.taaluma.net/

     Taaluma is a nonprofit organization that focuses on alleviating food insecurity in West Africa. They build aquaponics systems and training centers. Each center includes an aquaponics system, sack gardens a compost bin and a raised garden bed to show how to make the local soil fertile. They also travel to villages creating small gardens and teaching how to create sustainable food sources.

    Gabatcha (Madagascar)  http://www.gabatcha.fr/

    Organization focus on building and renovating of local schools, provide educational materials (e.g. pencil, notebook, etc), build library, sponsoring several high school graduates native of Sainte-Marie by providing them with a monthly scholarship. Organize Free medical visits and material proposed to population of Sainte Marie island and renovation of some classrooms.

    Projects in America

    Futuro Vivo (Future Vivant/Future Alive) (Dominican Republic)  ​https://www.futurovivo.org/

    Since 1988, in the village of Guerra (Dominican Republic), the Futuro Vivo Integral Education Communitarian Program aims to implement an innovative educational experience for kids (from 3 to 12 years of age) with a communitarian dimension, including the participation of the poorest Dominican and Haitian families, from the village as well as the hamlets and bateyes located nearby.

    Projects in Asia

      Rain Drop (India)  https://www.rain-drop.org/ 

      Rain Drop is a French non-profit organization registered in Grasse since 2010. Working in drought-prone villages of India to improve life conditions, water management and agricultural production techniques and foster women’s empowerment.

      Les amis des enfants du monde (India) https://www.amisdesenfantsdumonde.org/

      Les amis des enfants du monde is an association that consists of providing education to deprived children in India. “Creative School” provides English and IT class, letting children get familiar with working on computers. “Creative School” is a part of GRAMIUM initiative of AEM.
